Printemps
This eclectic and brightly displayed window at Printemps is a collaboration
between Louis Vuitton and Chinese artist Yayoi Kusama.
The repetition of red dots with the assistance of mirrored surfaces is a favorite of mine. The simplicity of the design has a great impact with this creative display.

A brilliant image Genie. It is quite fascinating how such a simple design has created such a complex image. Cheers J.
ReplyDeleteRed and black are wonderful contrasting colours. I'm certainly seeing lots of dots before my eyes.
ReplyDeleteHello Genie:
ReplyDeleteThis really is outstanding. Such fun and such a display of talent in conceiving and executing a brilliant idea.
Very amusing. Who doesn't love polka dots. They're so whimsical.
ReplyDeleteCela attire l'oeil, avec quand même quelque chose de maladif. On pense davantage à une épidémie qu'a un ornement.
ReplyDeleteI love it! Simply wonderful! Full of JOY!

A bright step forward, towards spring!
ReplyDeleteSpectacular! Amazing what you can find in some shop windows!
ReplyDeleteSimple, but oh, so eye-catching.
ReplyDeleteNice display. Like it.
ReplyDeleteIt is certainly a happy display!
ReplyDeleteWonderful capture! I would like to visit Printemps during sales!

I love the pseudo leopard-print spots, too. Definitely plenty of joie de vivre on display here, Genie.
ReplyDeleteFunny , energic and unusual!
ReplyDeleteIs that now rage in Paris? Socks in red balls patterned !
ReplyDeleteFunny image. I love it.
I must say that they have the most interesting and unusual window displays. I wonder who comes up with the designs and how often they change the window displays. Polka dots are in this year...at least in a lot of the fabric I've been seeing. :)
ReplyDeleteYes, a very nice display. Makes you look.
ReplyDeleteOh, I love this :)
ReplyDeleteClassic! Bravo M. Kusama!
ReplyDeleteInteresting window decor...great shot!!!
ReplyDeleteThat's alot of dots.
ReplyDeleteI have seen some of Yayoi Kusama’s work – in New York I think. She is very talented and does fun art.
ReplyDeleteHow very stunning! I love, love, love it!
ReplyDeleteHah! Window dressers can be so creative!
ReplyDeleteVagabonde, you are correct. I adore her work and admire her determination.
ReplyDeleteThank you for your comments. I am catching up with your blogs to see what you have been up to!
Bises,
Genie
love polka dots
ReplyDeleteThey recently had displays like this in NYC LV stores. Such fun!
ReplyDeleteYou always get something good in the windows of Printemps!
ReplyDeleteCheerful and impressive - and just the right angle.
ReplyDeleteSuch an appealing window Genie, it would certainly draw me in.
ReplyDeleteIf you explained this concept to me, I'm sure I would've been dazed and confused. But, seeing it...well, it's quite appealing. Good eye! I doubt I would've stopped for this shot, which is one of many reasons why I enjoy visiting your blog.
ReplyDeleteAn excellent image of an unusual display!
ReplyDeleteWell spotted...
ReplyDeleteTrès joli et amusant.
ReplyDeleteProche du pop-art, non?
This is a fabulous photo! Sometimes I think Printemps does windows better than anyone, but this one is pretty masterful! Nice shooting with a minimum of reflection!
