Strawberry Tart
When it pours rain in Paris, perhaps it is a good idea to find a bistro or a café.
How nice that we had a superb table for taking photos from a dark corner.
Now, if I can just reach that tart.

ReplyDeleteHello Genie:
ReplyDeleteYou are too late! We have got there first! Delicious. Even at breakfast time.
So very, very tempting - and tantalising in a picture!
ReplyDeleteMmmmm, that looks great.
ReplyDeleteMiam miam! That s a feast for the eyes and the taste buds!
ReplyDeleteBack away from the strawberry tart Genie, haha!
ReplyDeletehmmm it's delicious!My favorite one!

Oh, how tempting! Bistro...cafe...museum...you can't go wrong.
ReplyDeleteCould you resist the strawberry cake?
ReplyDeleteoh boy ... now i want one of those .. did you read/hear that organic blueberries and strawberries are really good for you and can help prevent heart attacks? yup.
ReplyDeleteY~U~M~M~Y! I wish I could just reach inside the computer and into that window to grab that tart. I also wouldn't mind having that tray to hold my desserts on.
ReplyDeleteI would like one of these just now!
ReplyDeleteJust ask the waiter - and he will probably put some whipped cream on it too.
ReplyDeleteMiam—and big enough to share! (I'll have it w/o whipped cream, so I can fool myself into thinking it's "healthy.")
ReplyDeletehope you were able to get a slice of that!
ReplyDeleteWhat beautiful photos! I love your tongue in cheek posts...a little humour added. Not many people see it, but Paris is full of great, subtle humour...just think of the mimics. Or the garcon who serves at the bistros, they have a glorious sense of real dry humour!

Mmmmmm . . . I love strawberries. Er, fraises. Good photos and strawberry tart. Hard to beat that.
ReplyDeleteI probably would have gone for one of the other goodies I see.
ReplyDelete... then I'd be heading over to the gym.
ReplyDeleteIt looks divine? Tell me.. secretly, of course.. :) .. did you 'reach' a yummy piece?
ReplyDeleteI want to know what else is under the plastic dome.
ReplyDeleteI do not think that La Palette is well-known for its desserts, but it is difficult to find a bad one in Paris. I had a delicious pastry waiting in the apartment and so it was easy to pass this one by.
ReplyDeleteUnder the dome, I can see at least a millefeuille, a "domed" pastry, and another tarte aux fraises.
Daryl, I think that the blueberries and strawberries are better for you if they are not surrounded in pastry and cream - haha!
Mr. Bird, that is why I am spending much time in the gym these days!
Have a wonderful weekend, all!
Bises,
Genie
Ce n'est pas bien de manger des fraises en cette saison...mais c'est bon.
