Sunrise on the Seine
If you have never seen a winter sunrise in Paris (and believe me there are many Parisians who do not even know there is such a thing) you have missed views such as this.
I was very fortunate to have three trips to Paris this year, visiting with old friends and new, riding Velibs with my daughter Holly, eating oysters, making new discoveries, having a party in our Paris apartment, and showing my husband the city I love in the perfect weather of late March.
May each of you be open to new discoveries in this new year!
Sounds like you had a terrific 2012 Genie. Wishing you more discoveries in 2013. J.
ReplyDeleteTu triches un peu. C'est surement une aube de l'année dernière, mais c'est vrai qu'elle est assez jolie.
ReplyDeleteThree trips?! How lovely to be able to share this beautiful city with those you love plus sharing what you see through your creative lens! May 2013 be good to you! PS. Be sure to add this to the linky that Gerald England set up for us here: http://ackworthborn.blogspot.co.uk/2012/12/cdpb-photo-of-year-2012.html

Three trips in a year. I used to be able to say that about myself and London, but those days are now over. I miss my "magical city", but I have all of my photos and wonderful memories. I love seeing your shots from Paris...only made a few trips there with the students and by myself. It is a magical place, too. Take care and here's hoping for many more trips for you and the family in 2013. Hugs, "the other genie"
ReplyDeletemay 2013 bring you all things that delight you.

ReplyDeleteI have had the pleasure, but it's been too long. I'd be bright green with envy over your three visits if you weren't so good at sharing! Looking forward to more of your beautiful images in 2013, ma chere.
ReplyDeleteFantastic, Genie. Paris is not a place I associate with brilliant sunrises, but here you have found one!

ReplyDeleteHave a great 2013 Genie!
Oh lucky you Genie, three trips to Paris..I really wish Perth wasn't so far away from Europe, apart from my dread of flying (23hr trip) it's so expensive also. So until I get there once more I still enjoy Paris vicariously through your eyes.
ReplyDeleteUne des plus belles vues de Paris que je connaisse.
ReplyDeleteSuch a beautiful picture. Three trips to Paris in a year! How fantastic. I'm looking forward to my third trip (ever) later this year.
