  12. Genie, l'architecture est vraiment magnifique! I think capturing it in B&W makes it even more striking. Thinking of you zooming through Paris on your Velib and wishing I was zooming along with you & Holly! Gros bisous et bon week-end!

  14. Another full day in Paris! We spent the morning prowling around Opera and then Printemps and Galeries Lafayette. We went to the top of Printemps and spent an hour photographing the Paris skyline from all 360 degrees. We could identify most buildings by their famous silhouettes and rooftops, but were stumped by one or two.

We photographed the windows of both stores, did a bit of shopping at H&M, and even took many photos in my favorite department at GL which I featured a week or so ago. They are doing a bit of remodeling and had moved it across the store, but we could see it from the glass balconies just by the color palette.

We spent the afternoon in the Odeon and Rue de Seine area and had a nice lunch at La Palette. I was fortunate to be strategically placed for photographing everything from the bar and the waiters to the dripping rain outside under the canopies.

Not to be daunted by the rain we walked back to the apartment in the 1er across the Pont des Arts and through Tuileries. We saw some serious pétanque players in a driving rain, one with an umbrella.

Tonight was the Nuit Blanche but we opted to stay in as the rain continues in a downpour. Peter and Isabelle joined us at the apartment for an impromptu dinner and drinks. It was a delightful evening spent with friends.

Tomorrow I will meet Katie (Katiefornia)!

The weather should be better in the morning and we will head out on the Velibs.

Hope that your weekend is going well. More tales of our adventures tomorrow.....

    Bises,
    Genie
