Chere genie, this is so sweet and beautiful! I love seeing the joy in her face... Wish I would have visited this carousel...next time! ;) Bises, - Irina
Hello Genie: How one longs for a return to this kind of carousel which too often today has been replaced with high speed rides designed to thrill and scare and where screams are the order of the day.
Jane and Lance, I have found more of the old-fashioned carousels in Paris than one would imagine. This one along with the new petite carousel in Parc de Monceau is amazing and charming.
This young girl was a delight, and I would have to say... definitely a French girl!
Live life like you are riding a carousel and you have a pocket full of tickets!
We were just there this afternoon - although we are 'between' carousel ages at the moment with the big girls, who used to adore them, now too big and Florence still too small. Next year will be her year of carousels I think. Could be a whole blog series in that ;)
And it's a wonderful one! How fun. Even at the older age i am; i'd love to take a ride on it. Though i think i'd be able to hold myself back and let the children have a go instead.. :D
Un très joli manège avec des animaux exotiques, que je ne connais pas. Je comprends mieux pourquoi puisqu'il se trouve au Jardin des plantes !!! Bises Danielle
A smile that creates more smiles.
ReplyDeleteI agree with Randy, a smile that creates more smiles! Delightful capture, Genie!! Have a lovely weekend!
