Please disregard my earlier comments on "Paris colors" as apparently rose foncé, or bright pink as I would call it is quite popular in the city as seen here on this little boat in the center of the hexagon basin of Jardin du Luxembourg.
May your sails be full as you head into the weekend
with a nice reflection on the previous week.

So summery, and carefree, and...Parisian, après tout.
ReplyDeleteA lovely, summery reflection indeed! Delightful! Hope you have a fun, lovely weekend, Genie!

Hello Genie:
ReplyDeletePink is, we think, becoming something of a recurring theme. We should probably think of this as Fuchsia Pink, not quite Knicker Pink!!
Have a lovely weekend too.
Lovely shot, just in time for the weekend... Love the philosophical quote at the end... :-) Veronique (French Girl in Seattle)
ReplyDeleteA wonderful whimsy to sail into the weekend with.
ReplyDeleteDear Genie, thanks for this adorable image. It is giving us a feeling of Summer and vacations, it's great indeed mainly because the weather in Luxembourg is not so good these days here but I'm positive and I'm waiting for the sun during the weekend! ;)

Another contribution to Paris Rose. I love the reflection mad the colors. Someday, I will take Clara to sail a pink-sailed boat in this spot! (you will have to come and photograph ...bien sur!).

What a dreamy image, so tranquil and relaxing! I hope your weekend is the same!
ReplyDeleteNice shot! I love those little boats.
ReplyDeleteI can't remember, do they charge the kids to use those boats?
ReplyDeleteWhat a nice capture of Barbie´s boat!
ReplyDeletelovely tranquil shot
ReplyDeleteDanielle, les poupées never had as much fun as those with a sailboat or a train!
ReplyDeleteJane and Lance, definitely I am thinking of this as fuchsia pink and not the other pinks (Pepto Bismol and knickers!- hahaha)
Ruby and Starman, in April I saw a man carrying a HUGE sailboat out of the park and I have seen kids with little motorboats, but most of these sailboats are rented out to the children for perhaps 1-2€ for an hour?
Vreni, I like the reference to Barbi. Most of the boats have the flag and initials of a country, but I do not think that this one does. Perhaps this was created to appeal to little girls.
To all, we are grateful that we are not flying the double red flags this weekend on the water and are hoping for a less wet, more peaceful weekend on the Gulf Coast. Enjoy your weekend wherever you may be!
Bises,
Genie
Gorgeous image Genie, whatever we think about pink, it makes lovely reflections. Hope your weekend is full of sunshine.
