I have to agree with Randy, reminds me more of last week!! I love the horses and wish I wasn't too old to hop on that carousel and have a great ride. Wonderful capture, Genie, as always! Hope you have a beautiful week!
If I were one of the two horses on the right, I would just forget Monday and go right back to bed... until next week! ;-) Great shot, Genie. Veronique (French Girl in Seattle)
The horses on the right are a bit too macabre for children;therefore, I believe this is an adult caroussel and we can all ride! Excellent shot Genie ... Hope our work week is a smooth ride on the lovely left horse. Bisous!
Such a lot of detail, the harnesses, buckles, manes etc. I think children are braver than we think, I bet some little boys would love to ride the 'wild' horses haha! Well Genie the hardest thing here this week is the fact that each day is going to get hotter culminating in a 42C on Saturday, me not happy!!
I like the prancing steed on the left, while the others seem to be on a fear-induced rampage. Speaking of which, did you manage to avoid last night's fear-inducing tornadoes? We had a forecast threatening possibilities here, but I slept through it, I guess.
What a great shot! I'm trying to be as serene as the horse on the left, but inside I'm in full deadline panic mode (the middle horse looks like he's saying, "Aaaargh!")
What a beautiful photo! Thanks for stopping by My Bookshelf and commenting on my review of Wonderstruck by Brian Selznick. He is extraordinary, isn't he?
I will have a rough week. My leg and hip (THEY SAY) I am arthritic. Well this pain is unbearible. I have been to so many docs, and a Therapist. This week I am HIDING. sick of Dr. Offices. The wicked cold has left us for a few days. Yvonne
Absolutely fabulous!!! I love the detail. Black and white is so wonderful ---I bet the color versions is amazing also. You have some of the best, best pictures.
Often I am so enamoured with a carousel, the colors and lights and rotation... that I overlook the magnificence of the detail. These three were just calling to me and the color version looks like a rainbow!
Each horse and seat on this carousel was unique and probably not fully appreciated by the riders. What great expressions they have, from the flare of the nostrils to the wild manes!
That actually reminds me more of last week. Stunning shot! I wonder if those two scare the kids.

Hope to get through the week like the horse on the left.
ReplyDeleteStrange to see such powerful , almost violent postures in a carrousel!
ReplyDeleteI have worked since last Friday and so far every day has looked like the horses on the right! I want to get off the carousel!

ReplyDeleteokay, they open the mouth because the dentist asked for, but they really seem afraid.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful and perfect in black and white!
ReplyDeleteI don't think it's what's in front of them that's got them riled...It's what's behind them, and gaining on them!!!

ReplyDeleteI love it! I think the two horses on the right are expecting a Monday back at work such as I had yesterday.....

ReplyDeleteYep, I'd say those two horses on the right look down right mean and ready for a tough week.
ReplyDeleteHope your "back to work" Monday isn't to busy!
