Printemps - le reflet

A dress of pale blue feathers and fringed silk tweed,

a backdrop of trees,

and a wistful glance down the boulevard.

  1. Oh, the Parisian shop windows!!! This dress is a creation of Karl (Lagerfeld) I guess.

  15. What a little rebel she is, standing there, hands on hips in her beautiful dress having just kicked over the chairs in a fit of pique.

  21. The French really know how to dress a window. That is a gorgeous dress. That's what I'd call "strike a pose"!

Your gift was mailed yesterday and you should have it early next week.

    Have a great weekend.

  23. Love this shot. I have always liked an artful reflection :-) Looks like she kicked the furniture over in frustration, body language, hands on hips...

  28. One of my favourite ways of looking at the world, reflected in a shop window. And what a view on the Parisian world this one provides! From street glimpses to a peek at a fit of Parisienne pique to a fashion statement in tweed and feathers.
    Excellent find.

  29. Ah, Genie, you would look great in this dress! Did it come in a size 2? A fine reflection today. Have a grand weekend. I will be trying to hide from Irene.

  30. That dress looks a bit warm right now with our 96+ weather. I saw that you talked about the Musée Grévin in your last post. That makes me nostalgic. My mom used to take me there very often when I was growing up. They had “the enchanted forest” where you would stand in the dark and lights would go on the trees land make terrible noise like thunder – I was terrified but would always want to go there. Then they had a magic show and flea trainers. It was always a treat to go there – we lived walking distance from it – so long ago.
