This picture an reflection is so hard to accomplish when you try. Your a genius behind the camera. I love this picture even more that I love the dress.
One of my favourite ways of looking at the world, reflected in a shop window. And what a view on the Parisian world this one provides! From street glimpses to a peek at a fit of Parisienne pique to a fashion statement in tweed and feathers. Excellent find.
Ah, Genie, you would look great in this dress! Did it come in a size 2? A fine reflection today. Have a grand weekend. I will be trying to hide from Irene.
That dress looks a bit warm right now with our 96+ weather. I saw that you talked about the Musée Grévin in your last post. That makes me nostalgic. My mom used to take me there very often when I was growing up. They had “the enchanted forest” where you would stand in the dark and lights would go on the trees land make terrible noise like thunder – I was terrified but would always want to go there. Then they had a magic show and flea trainers. It was always a treat to go there – we lived walking distance from it – so long ago.
Oh, the Parisian shop windows!!! This dress is a creation of Karl (Lagerfeld) I guess.
ReplyDeleteChanel, evidemment. Tres joli. Thank you for making us dream, Genie. Veronique aka French Girl in Seattle

Beautiful. Just the thing to see before fall comes--beautiful, beautiful tweed!
ReplyDeleteWhat a little rebel she is, standing there, hands on hips in her beautiful dress having just kicked over the chairs in a fit of pique.
ReplyDeleteThis photo gives new meaning to that expression 'shake a tail feather', n'est-ce pas?
ReplyDeleteThe best sum up for this shopping street!!

Seems like an iconic Parisian moment.
ReplyDeleteah what a lovely window
ReplyDeleteInteresting furniture arrangement.
ReplyDeleteThe French really know how to dress a window. That is a gorgeous dress. That's what I'd call "strike a pose"!
ReplyDeleteYour gift was mailed yesterday and you should have it early next week.
Have a great weekend.

ReplyDeleteLove this shot. I have always liked an artful reflection :-) Looks like she kicked the furniture over in frustration, body language, hands on hips...
ReplyDeleteFantastic...so many layers to see.
ReplyDeleteThe body language of the "model" was nice!
ReplyDeleteElle a la tête dans les nuages, la petite dame ; elle voit la vie en bleu ! :D
ReplyDeleteNice work on that picture, Genie : Paris Couture has no secret for you !
Printemps, c´est top!
