Fountains of Pol Bury -- dommage

Holly, Peter, and I found this sad-looking display in December with the plastic cover, orange tape, and an empty fountain. I am hopeful that the Fountains of Pol Bury in Gallery d'Orleans at Palais Royal have been repaired/refurbished.

The renovations in Paris do seem to take forever, but I would like to see them in a few weeks. Perhaps someone there can let me know.

  2. C'est une belle fontaine... mais je serais incapable de répondre à votre question... mais pas parce que je perds la boule!
    Gros bisous

  3. Perhaps the reason these repairs take so long is because parts and fittings have to be recreated, since one cannot just order them from a factory. It will all be worth while at the end/

  4. A Paris, les travaux succèdent aux travaux... Mais, en général, tout est prêt pour l'été, la saison des touristes.
Et puis, Genie... l'espoir fait vivre! :-)
    Bon week-end!

  6. What a terrible disappointment for you. When it is up and running again, please be sure to post the picture. I just found Dianne’s "All Things French" blog and am so happy. The three of us are certainly spread out from our beloved Paris. Hugs....The Other Genie

  9. I'm sorry they were under wraps in December as they are quite something capped with snow!

  10. At least they are working to preserve the beautiful things and not letting everything go to pot. But I'm sure it was a disappointment.
    Next time! :)

  13. So glad you showed the fountain when it is working. What a great fountain and piece of art. Hopefully it's simply being restored or cleaned and will be back with you soon.

  19. Tu peux aller à l'office du tourisme qui demandera directement à la Mairie de Paris, certainement !
