Zoom-zoom - rouge
This little number may be all over Europe, but this was the first time for me... BMW, rouge, sleek... It had it all
Want to go for a spin?
You may remember the brightly-colored cafe cups I posted on January 15th... Well a talented painter asked to use the photo as inspiration for one of her original pieces... When I saw it all I could say is "Wow!" Carol Schiff Studio has amazing paintings, many with the impressionists style that I adore. Mille mercis, Carol!

You bet I'll go! I'd even like to drive.
I knew you were someone inspiring, now we have a proof!
Ok for a ride!
Genie, I could have a lot of fun with something like that.
It reminds me of an insect {yes, a very large one!!} ~ but it would be wonderful on rainy days! Carol's painting is gorgeous, as is her source of inspiraton, Genie. Lovely!
Genie Who would not find inspiration in your wonderful photography? Every morning the first thing I do is grab a cup of coffee and check out your blog.
I am so honored that you allowed me to use your photograph for my painting, hmmmmm, that really is an interesting motorcycle.
Bon jour!
Genie, Yo colors and lighting are almost always right on the mark...vibrant and the right time of day.
Come shoot with me Virginia and me sometime.
Carol is very talented.
So . . . the passenger rides outside? :~}
Genie -- you know I love that photo of the cups, and Carol has done it proud!
Wow how cool!Carol is very talented, and really kind!
Hey, a BMW rouge like that, what a success, it's so beautiful and chic!
Have a great weekend dear Genie!
hugs
Léia
Am I the only one that thinks even a hunky Frenchman would look like a geek driving one of these???HA
ANd Anonymous is my friend Bill. He's right , we'd love to have you join us.

Pardon Carol! I love your interpretaion of Genie's cups. Is it watercolor??
V
very cool that your foto was the inspiration for this painting!
now, did you drive that scooter out in paris traffic? mon dieu!!
Your cups are doing "double duty": first in your camera and blog, now in a painting. Wonderful!
I remember seeing something like this motorbike when I was Paris years ago. But this is much more stylish. Did you get to ride it?
Such a cute vehicle :)
As long as you don't drive as most of their owners do... :-)
Oh! Great shot of a funny bike!
Never seen anything like that!
Thanks for sharing, Genie;o)

Have a happy weekend****
I love those 'canopy' things they have on motors over there.
Bonjour Genie
Oh my!! wouldn't it be just great zooming around Paris in that nifty red machine - especially around the Arc de Triumph - round and round and round ......
Yes, I guess it is kind of cool, Genie, but I am far too tall to fit on that. I'll watch you. Congrats on having one of your photos chosen to be the subject of Ms. Schiff's painting. Looks good!
Bibi -- Alons-y! You can drive, my dear.
Malyss -- Awww, c'est gentil.. Have fun meeting up with Jilly tomorrow -- wish I was there with you guys!
Andy -- I think that scooting around on that would turn some heads!
Shell -- It is quite different looking! Carol is very talented and I am amazed at the art-blogs. You, my dear friend, are in good company with your art! Merci...
Carol -- I love hearing that someone enjoys my photos and the adventures in Paris (and sometimes, Beyond) -- Glad that we have connected!
Anonymous Bill -- Merci, and I would love to go on a photo excursion with you and V... What fun that would be!
Nadege -- I agree with you about Carol's talent
Alexa -- Ride on the outside? Je pense que non. Maybe you could squeeze in next to him... cosy! I know that Carol's ears are burning with all of this (deserved) praise
Leia -- It does not get any more "chic" than this! Merci! Yay, Carol!
Virginia -- Uh, I am not so sure... at least it does not have two wheels in the back!
Amanda -- Glad that you like Carol's painting... Did I ride it in the traffic? No, but wouldn't that be fun!
Miss Sadie -- Merci on Carol's cups... Oh, as fine as this bike looked I did not get to ride it although I might have considered had that invitation been offered...
Elisa -- Indeed! Glad to see you again, my friend!
Ciel -- I might let you drive since I am not very familiar with a scooter... zoom-zoom!
Cildemer -- So the bike is unusual in Paris and France... In all my trips this is the first on like this!
Starman -- I just love that it is red and looks a bit retro!
To all -- I cannot believe that not one of you busted me for having une toilette in the photo... details, my friends! I should have moved around so as to not get that view - hah!
Dianne -- It would be fun to zoom around but I would be afraid of that "scramble" of traffic around the Arc!
Jack -- You would prefer to ride on that little perch on the back? (jk) Regarding Carol's art, I am very honored by her beautiful translation of my photo... we are talking about others
Oooh! I love it! It's great that it has that big screen in front so you feel safer. I'm really into bikes/scooters etc at the moment because yesterday I bought my first push bike. It's purple and I like to imagine that one day soon I'll use it around the streets of Paris.
Ps. That painting is incredible! How nice.
I'd LOVE to go for a spin. I have NEVER seen one of these!
That looks like a fun ride and that painting is so wonderful! The colors just draw you in.
Cool set of wheels.
Carol did such a great job ! And once again, I love this colored cups !!
If the United States were more like Europe, with it's narrow streets and and small towns and villages, I bet we'd have these little cuties, too. I can't imagine tootling around on the interstate in one of these. A big semi would pass me and I'd be whooshed into the ditch. They do look like fun to drive, like those tiny smart cars I see here occasionally.
Liz
I've never seen a red one either!
Carol did a wonderful job here, no?
Practicality and fun.... I could ride one of those motorcycles!
EG -- I have not actually seen one of these on the streets but I am on the lookout!
Randy -- The colors are rich and I have not seen coffee cups in Paris with this rainbow of colors
J Bar -- I could not decide between cool and geeky, but when my feet are tired I think that this would be quite fine!
o2 -- Carol's blackboard even looks real!
Liz -- You are funny... but I know what you mean!
Cynthia -- I imagine you have to pay more for "red"
Kelley -- I would like to ride but would not want to drive unless I had some time in a non-traffic area to try it out first
