Promenade Plantée (Coulée verte René-Dumont)

This unique "elevated" green walkway is situated on the tracks
that took trains from Bastille to Verenne-Saint-Maur.
Beneath the arches of this viaduct are 64 arcade
of artists' ateliers, galleries, workshops, and more.

You can walk the "promenade greenway" in one direction
and then walk back along the glass fronts of the Viaduc des Arts.

Get some carry-out food, go for a walk, have a picnic. It's a memorable outing.

Here in NYC, we're very proud of our High Line—and yet so many people don't even know that this was the inspiration for it.
