Cimetière du Père Lachaise

Closing time at Père Lachaise
does not mean a leisurely stroll to the exit...
as the whistle bleats remind you.

Well, I don't think I would want to be locked in!

I like to stroll in cemeteries and the Parisian ones have a way of making me fell peaceful with myself. This year I will go back to Pere Lachaise to see if I can finally find Marcel Proust resting place! And will look for it before the whistle blows!

What a lovely, peaceful path.

Thank you, Genie. I'm seeing this after the fact, but the image alone conjured up that memory (and of where we went after scurrying out of there). Que de bons souvenirs!
