Hôtel de Ville
le carrousel
The proper name for the carousel, as you may be able to read,
is "Carrousel, la Belle Épouque,"
but even without a label its double-decker elegance
and unique crown are recognizable.
The rides are painted with the finesse of a fine artist.
The night scene with an outline of lights
around the Belle Époque carousel are worth a visit, too.

A happy photo.
On en trouve maintenant un peu partout de ces faux vieux manèges, plus ou moins beaux mais toujours émouvants. Je n'ai pas compris le XXXVIII...38 ?
Hello Genie:
How wonderful is this. It reminds us of times past when a visit to a fair was a much more civilised, decorous thing than it is today. Oh dear, is old age catching up on us?!!
Each turn would take me back to childhood Genie.
Bonjour, Genie.

Another one Genie's famous carousel photos. I like the colours.
Beautiful ... And what fun to ride on the top deck!

What a magnificent carousel! Takes me back to my childhood.. I have always wanted to attempt to sculpt one.. Maybe one day.
enjoy your week
fondly,

It looks quite intricate. It's been a long time since I've seen one of those.
A beautiful addition to your collection of carrousel photos (and No. XXXVIII already!—impressive)!
So beautiful -- and so magical. What a grand group of photos you've shown.
A really fine composition, Genie. You placed the lamp post right where it wanted to be!
