Beautiful and a really incredible capture, Genie! It creates a whole story on its own!! I love it! Hope you have a great holiday weekend! Enjoy your week! Hugs Sylvia
A beautiful post for Theme Day Genie. Your perspective and subject magnifies how small we can be in the passage of life leading to our ultimate crossing. A very poigniant interpretation of the Theme.
You have really captured the essence of Pere Lachaise. It is a wonderful place to contemplate life. There is a certain peace there, a quiet reverence, that is hard to describe.
Great shot. I love the leaves just beginning to come out on the trees and the sun filtering through. Here’s my Dreaming of France meme with a photo by my 17-year-old who is in France this week.
Everything about this shot is right. The lines, lighting, composition, and depth of field are all spot on. Save for the occasional patches of green and slight reddish leaves, this is a monochrome. I imagine a contrasty B&W would be totally smashing -- the texture of the cobblestone street would pop. Kudos again Genie [and hugs].

I like everything on this one !
Very beautiful, and nice light!
La vue, en contre plongée, qu'ont les âmes des défunts quand ils rejoignent le ciel ?
This is a very good shot.

Fantastic! J'adore, et ça m'incite à dire et redire : carpe diem!
The passing? Don't think I want to think about that just yet. Dramatic photo.
Creative interpretation of "crossing" ... A poignant choice for this day. BZZZ
This photo is eye catching.

such a thoughtful interpretation of the theme.
It's just beautiful, Genie, shimmering with spiritual light...
Fabulous image -- I really like the from-above angle. It says so very much.

Nice representation of the theme today!!!
How pretty! Makes me wish I were there.
Beautiful, and the comment, too. I see a photographer kneeling!
Splendid photo, Genie!
What Bibi said—or maybe he's praying for a shot as good as yours!
One of the best shots I ever saw from Père Lachaise! The atmosphere is definitely there!
How appropriate for le poisson d'Avril.
Beautiful image Genie.
