La Tour Eiffel
The heavy snow (December 2010) removed all the color from this shot.
Still, the wrought iron lattice of the tower with its layer of white
is lovely and a distinct contrast to this same view in the spring.

Cette Tour Eiffel est je crois le 1er site le plus visité au monde, il me semble bien!
Bonne semaine à toi Genie
BIses-Cath.
What a great perspective of the Eiffle Tower. I love it.
ET is always beautiful! I would love to see Paris sous la neige!
Since last saturday, Paris is under snow again. Today, the Tower must exactly look that way!
Si la tour Eiffel est sous la neige...c'est qu'il en est tombé beaucoup !
Brilliant shot, the Eiffel Tower is magnificent!

hello Genie:
The Eiffel Tower looks positively ghostly here. Such an atmospheric photograph with all the chill of winter, a slightly melancholic air of the mist and, yet, a stylish, confidence in that most iconic of man made constructions! A brilliant picture!
That's curious! I just passed some high school art yesterday evening depicting the Eifel Tower and with your blog in ming thought of photographing it. I like your depiction best. I mean, how many photos show the Tower in winter?
Breathtaking, Genie. Like a fairytale...
So beautiful...
you've captured the Eiffel in one of its most beautiful look. Dreamy...
Beautiful perspective and atmosphere Genie. I guess the queues to get to the top would be shorter in this weather.
One of these days I'd like to see exactly this scene Genie, but in the meantime ...I'll enjoy!
The soft grays capture the softness of the particles of snow and render a wonderful texture to this photograph.
tres jolie .. even in the cold
Merci for having dealt with cold and snow to bring us this gorgeous sight, Genie!
I really like this shot. It's one you don't typically see of the Iron Lady.
What a gorgeous picture Genie. I love it when the snow makes everything look monochromatic - not that we get any snow around here :)
Paris is one of the very few cities to which I would even consider going in the winter!
Hi Genie,
Even with a dusting of snow the Eiffel tower looks wonderful.
I actually enjoyed visiting France in January when you could get into places like the Louvre and Notre Dame, without the long queues when we were there in July one time.
Happy week
Carolyn
Beautiful perspective.
So wonderful.
It's softly gorgeous. Like a beautiful dream! :)
Beautiful image... but yes, I would rather be there in warm weather!
The tower is ever-changing, one of the things that makes it so fascinating. Nice one, Genie.
To all, I would much rather be there in warmer weather, but would not take anything for being there for a few days of snow and very cold weather. In Paris, you can get just about any kind of weather if you will wait about 30 minutes. It is certain to change!
It is a balmy 58 degrees (F) right now and I have been cold all day just looking at the shivering Eiffel Tower.
Another cold photo for tomorrow!
Bises,
Genie
Fabulous photo of La Tour Eiffel!!! Great angle...I think I know the spot you found to take this!!! Very grand!!!
What a gorgeous shot!. She looks gorgeous in any weather.
Stunning shot of the tower! The mist affords a wonderfully moody atmosphere. Great capture!
je dois avouer que je ne suis jamais allée à Paris en plein hiver. Cela doit être féerique.
