While walking the narrow streets of St. Denis, this gentleman popped out of the small restaurant and asked me to take his photo. I think that he will be pleased when I return with a copy for him.
A camera always makes opportunities, most of which are good.

It happens me sometimes in Paris that the people ask me to take a picture of them but I never tried to come back with their photos - it´s a nice idea, I will do it next time!

He knows and enjoys a pretty lady when he sees one. Imagine his surprise when you return with a copy for him!
It brought back a fond memory. Here in northern California we have giant sequoia trees that are so large they've cut a hole for driving through one. It's fairly frustrating for tourists because naturally they can't drive and take a photograph. I offered to take a fellow's picture as he drove through, got his business card, then sent it to his office via e-mail. He was able to share his weekend outing with his co-workers...co-workers who were a little skeptical about his story of driving through a tree! ;-)
I think that it's wonderful you take a copy of the photos back to them. I imagine you have made many a friend doing this. So sweet of you, Genie!

Malyss, I have been returning photos for years and years. I have never been disappointed with the reaction, thinking that many of my subjects rarely see a photo of themselves.
I had been carrying a photo of the "piano man" who often plays on Pont St. Louis for almost two years. I saw him again, but had left the photo in the apartment.
On our last Sunday in Paris, I finally saw him on Rue Mouffetard at Place de la Contrescarpe. Actually, I delivered photos in four different locations that day - Bingo!
So, I will add this photo to those I will carry back to Paris. This gentleman either works at this café or is a regular on this narrow street so close to the Basilica. Stay tuned...
