Un petit garçon en rouge

Just before walking into the Basilique de Notre-Dame des Victoires,
I sensed a movement out of the corner of my eye.

Looking up to the left in this premier étage window,
I saw this little child actually licking the window.
By the time I could swing my lens his way,
he was looking wistfully down at the street
to the older children in the Place des Petits-Pères.
The church façade is reflected in the large windows.

Dear Genie, this is really a brilliant picture. Just "a day in the life of"... so very innocent, melancholy, and beautiful.
I want to give that little one a hug and make him smile! :)
Bon weekend, sweet friend..

elicited a quiet, "Aw,"-- sentimental favor for the photograph and commiseration with the subject

The child looks deep in thought. Dreaming about lollipops, and rainbows?

I'll bet if you returned in 18 years and told him what you saw, he'd be mortified.

Trop mimi! He looks like he's waiting anxiously for someone. :)

I love it! I bet he thought the window tasted pretty good! I remember when mine were that age and the crazy things they did/tasted/felt/ate/drank! And they all grew up healthy!!! Priceless capture, Genie! Enjoy your weekend!

Hugs
Sylvia

Aaaw, le pauvre petit, left behind by the big kids. Looks like this might be a day-care center or school. Nicely captured, Genie!

What a fantastic capture; quite beautiful. Licking the window probably wouldn't have made it any better.
