L'amour dans le jardin

In the center of  Jardin du Palais Royal is a bench.
Except in freezing weather or during a rainstorm,
you will likely see a couple clenched in an embrace,
nothing too racy, but l'amour à Paris.

May you give a hug today and receive one in turn.

----------------------------

I have a treat for you...
a tray of Valentine cookies made to share (virtually) with my blog readers.

Who will bring the Champagne?

Happy Valentine's Day!

Oh la la... The Converse man seems really into that lady! ;-) I love your petits gâteaux, Genie. I claim first dibs on the Eiffel Tower! Happy Valentine's Day Veronique (French Girl in Seattle)

Glad you like it, Veronique, as I put the little pink hearts on one at a time... These are not as good as macarons, but faster when you have little people helping!

Ah, love is in the air, but only like this in Paris!! Hmmmm! I love the cookies and I'll have a heart - can always use an extra one! Have a beautiful Valentine's Day, Genie!!

Graciousness and Southern charm are still very much alive, I guess, in Alabama...

I'm at the age where a kiss must be very discrete if in public.....No on reflection, I've always been like this!
But what is Paris without lovers on an available park bench?
Bonne Saint Valentin

I'll say this for the "public lovers" of Paris: They're always oblivious to anything (including women with cameras) but each other. Your virtual treats look virtually de-lish, Genie!

What a passionate embrace - oh l'amour :)

genie, you would probably not believe that I am unable to put up my new wink profile picture, but it is a fact, I need my son, the one who is endlessly traveling around the world;.; so it will be a while !

Miam Miam! Wonder if there will be any cookies left when we arrive on Friday?! If not, guess we'll have to make do with moonpies and king's cakes. Great photos and happy Valentine's day to you too!

Halcyon said...

I think she looks cold. Her body language with the folded arms and crossed legs does not say romance to me!
Yummy cookies... :)
And happy valentines day!!

Genie -- Paris and Beyond said...

Holly, you should bring the macarons you are preparing and do not leave any in Birmingham on your way south! hehehe

I've got champagne in the fridge...and champagne glasses too!!!

Maybe it's just me, but I usually preferred that my girls have arms. If they had legs like that, I was willing to make exceptions.

Happy Valentine's Day.

I have so many shots of lovers in Paris and probably half of them are at Palais Royal. I had several shots of these two and her right arm and hand were under his coat, reaching around his back.

It is interesting that lovers locked in an embrace can go on forever and be oblivious to "the lady with the camera."

Maria, we work on our graciousness and Southern charm... thank you for noticing.

Kelley, nice to see you again; sillygirl, I hope that you will drop by here often.

Bises,
Genie

Paris. Toujours l'amour! Naturelement!

I like cookies, but not virtual cookies.

What a delightful Valentine treat...both the loving couple and the cookies!!

Great post for Valentine's Day! Did you use an Eiffel Tower cookie cutter from Paris or did you cut it free hand?

C. R. Spooner said...

yes, beautifully displayed love and cookies...valentines indeed

Genie -- Paris and Beyond said...

Richard, les gâteaux, s'ils avaient un effet magique, je serais en France!

Harriet, I bought the cookie cutter at Mora in Paris last month. I think that I need some other sizes, too...

Genie
