Too too funny! Love the angle and wonder at the intention (although there probably was nothing more intended except to attract attention --- and it has --- world wide attention! As always, great eye, Genie!
Alexa, Holly and I were in an apartment just a block away and were walking to Metro Bourse when we saw this window. You are absolutely right about the Bibliotheque National across the street.
I do love discovering scenes such as this and wondering the intention of the window designer.
I do wonder if the expression "when pigs fly" translates to French.

It certainly grabbed our attention and I love the image of the books, globe and pigs
Thank you

Some smart little pigs! ;-) Veronique (French Girl in Seattle)
I don't think they're flying. I think their job is to hold down the books (which might float away otherwise).
Oui?
Sweet por bigs. They seem to have the whole world's weight on his shoulders (the snout). I think that they can not fly because of it.
J'adore !

This pair are too cute.
Love it! If I were there, I would have been elbowing you for the better position to shoot the picture.
A great find Genie. It would make me stop too.
There's no way you could have walked past this window without taking a picture Genie, it's just too much fun!
These are too cute! I would love to have these little winged pigs at my house :-)
Perhaps they're trying to locate Miss Piggy!
Did you know that the French saying for "when pigs fly" is "quand les poules auront des dents" (when hen have teeth) ?
Wonder if those pigs have a frequent flyer pass! ;-)
