Une grande porte

It is good to see the fine wood grains of an elegant door that has been well-cared for.
There are many showing signs of neglect and abuse.

Now, I want to walk into the courtyard that is surely beautiful,
maintained as well as the door.

I am on my way to Paris with daughter Holly and will be joined by Virginia (Paris Through My Lens) and Mary.  I will be checking in daily and making comments here as possible.  If I stayed long enough to check everything off my list, it would be mid-summer before my return!

Une belle ouverture certainement sur une cour qui doit l'être tout autant...
J'admire le travail somptueux de ces vieille porte. Je pense que c'est une belle manière d'honorer nos arbres...

It's a fabulous door! And the Union Jack belongs to that British furniture store (Longfield's, I think it's called). Very convenient if you have an apartment here (I wish!) and want to furnish it with a nice Chesterfield sofa. Give Paris a few bisoux from moi, okay—and have a terrific time!

Beautiful doorway, even if it is a Tuesday. I've been doing doorways on Wednesdays for a few years now :)

Rich details and rich finish on this lovely door, Genie. What is with the flag on the left?

Have fun with Virginia and the other girls.
