I’m photographing street graffiti tomorrow – what a coincidence! I have a favourite lane in Melbourne where there is a picture frame permanently stuck to the wall. Both the surrounding wall and the contents of the frame constantly change. Warm wishes.
Elizabeth, I head home tomorrow and look forward to seeing your graffiti shots "down under" when I return.
Rob and Mandy, I like your new profile photos!
I generally am not a fan of graffiti but there is a substantial group of graffiti artists in Paris whose recognizable designs provide another perspective. There are a few places I have found in Paris where the graffiti of different artists could almost be called an "installation."
I head home tomorrow having put my new camera through it's paces and having walked many miles. Travel kitty Oskar is ready to go although I always get a bit wistful when I leave Paris. I usually spend my flight home completing my journal of notes and.... planning my next trip. It does make it easier to leave my Paris.
Great blog, kindred spirit! You might be interested in my recent post about Konny Steding, another graffiti artist in Paris: http://objectsblog.com/site/2012/02/07/from-wall-to-wall/

They're surely more talented than those here who claim to be graphic street artists! Clever! Enjoy your evening, Genie!

Excellent find Genie, keep snapping!
I like the indignation quote.
I totally agree with the quote, indignation being the fiercest weapon.
Genie,
Love the vivid color in this photo. I think a painting of this would be grand!

I will be curmudgeonly again. No fan of graffiti here.
Interesting but I still don't approve of graffitti.
I like it; I really do like it!
Vraiment superbe graphique qui s'intègre bien avec le poteau
et le message plairait à Stéphane Hessel
