That was one of my favorite parts of living in Europe--the window boxes. I have never seen such beautiful, billowing flowers as I have in Europe!! This image makes me long to go back:)
We had another full day in Paris taking the Metro to Basilique Saint-Denis. Virginia, Peter, Holly and I met up with Owen and his wife Anne. How great it is to meet other bloggers and it looked like a festival of photographers. We took a quick tour of the cemetery as Owen and Anne led the way.
I found the end of my second 8 GB memory card and had remembered to bring another.
We shared a glass of Champagne (courtesy of Peter) at Virginia and Mary's apt. Holly and I joined Isabelle at a crepe restaurant for a late dinner. You know you are rather late when the usual haunts you pass on your path home are closed!
I cannot wait to show my photos, the new places I have discovered, the new Paris friends, and the beautiful corners of Paris.
Glad you're having such a good time—and (selfishly) thrilled that you've taken so many pics to share with us. I once had a Paris apt. (sigh), with a hardy geranium on the window sill and the requisite chat domestique—who almost got me in big trouble with the concierge when he sent the geranium down three stories to the ground below. (Better the geranium than the cat, I say.)

"Le chay domestique" what a terrific term to accompany this photo.
In a house with books, there's surely a cat; And I'm sure he comes on the window, but in summer!it's too cold outside now..
I would love to own that window .......... and the house that comes with it!
It appears that you and Virginia are having a great time.
Bonne semaine.
Purrrrr... I volunteer to be le chat sitting at that lovely window!!!

I hope that little balcony can hold all our weight Genie, we all want to be there haha! The bright red geraniums are a wonderful sight.
Me too. In summer you can hear music, the clatter of dishes, and snatches of conversations coming from windows. Always a warm experience.
this is just delightful! the warm light on the books, the red calling out to the flowers...lovely! hope you are well.
And if I were a squirrel, I would eat the geraniums; probably whey they are behind bars. :)
Pretty geraniums. I love the wrought iron window guards.
Yup, the colorful window boxes in Italy and France make all the difference, don't they?
I love the view inside the window too.
This sort of photo always makes me wonder at the life I'd have if I lived on the other side of that window.
