What a fantastic capture, Genie!! I love it!!! Hmmmm now which one would I choose??? Such terrific composition and the perfect spot of color! Have a lovely evening, mon amie!
Hey, I know a rhetorical question when I hear one! :~} What fun, Genie. I've been w/o Internet over the weekend, but loved both your posts (esp. the adorable petite parisienne!).
So very nice to meet you! Thank you so much for visiting my blog, and for such kind words regarding my grandmother. She is in my heart every day!
I really love your blog. I am now following. You too fell in love with Paris at a young age? I was about 10 years old when I decided to check out some French phrase books from the library. I've been smitten ever since! Thank you for gracing us with your impeccable eye for this city of our dreams...
Yes, it was a rhetorical question and you all knew the answer. Truly, all of the hats were shades of white and black/browns... except the lone red hat. Even in the color photo, the red just stood out.
Based on a suggestion from Nathalie about another photo question, I found a youtube video that told me how to do the "color" in a b/w. As "sc" said above, it would have been quite a challenge in the days of film!
Did no one notice the "eyes that kept watch?" The female in a hat peers out at us partially hidden by the rack of hats... She was the one that caught my eye.
Thank you to my new commenters and followers. Many thanks to all.
C'est beau le noir et blanc avec une touche de rouge ! Ce Panama rouge pourrait venir se joindre à mon parapluie rouge à Venise ! à bientôt Genie Danielle

Fabulous!
Now, let me see.... :)
Cool shot Genie. Let me think for a second... Hmmm... Le chapeau de cuir en bas, a droite? ;-) Veronique (French Girl in Seattle)
But you too under the spell of Photoshop! :-)

What a fun photo!
You're a red addict, so the answer is easy! :o)
Haha! that may be a lot easier than the other puzzlers you've shown us lately Genie!! Love it.
Le rouge, bien sûr.
Et j'espère que tu vas faire une photo pour qu'on te voit avec!
Yes! Really great shot! Nice one Genie.
Now I'm really keen on to buy a hat! :)
Red one is a great choice!

Too funny! My mom just bought a Panama Hat, which was made in Ecuador, er, in Provence. And, hmmm, one of those hats is not like other...
Nice one Genie.Think how it must be in the old days when you wanted to make a picture like that.
I have never wore a hat, but if I were you I think you should wear the red one?
Cool cutout.
Cool photo Genie. Great idea to show one hat in red.
Definitely you'd go for the red one.
Oh the eyes,
really interesting shot ♥
and it would be perfect on you.
The same as me - the red one!
Bonne semaine Hana
Loved it!
:)
I am smiling :) Thanks!
Cute effect. :)
Love the pop of red!
You're getting me excited about the markets . . . .
Un chapeau rouge bien sûr, à offrir à Virginia !
J'ai adoré la petite fille et sa poussette hier. Adorable.
But of course it would be the red one! I love men's hats especially the panama straw ones.
Kris
No surprise here. I'm confident you'd pick the red hat.
All made by The Mad Hatter, I presume.
I like this photo

I would chose the one with the sign on it.

winking at you... trying to figure out how to get on your head... maybe next time ?
This is a fun picture, Genie. YOU would get the red hat. I -- being a suave and debonair cosmopolite -- would get a wide brimmed white hat.
Perfect! I would choose the red hat for sure and I think you would too.
Thanks for dropping by ...in answer to your question regarding the photo....yes, they are figs and here's my recipe if you are interested

Very clever, I think a chapeau rouge is just the ticket! I could find you in any crowd.
