Louvre Pyramid and full moon

Through the glass and steel of I. M. Pei's Pyramid, is seen a full moon and Pavillon de l'Horloge, architecture from different centuries gracing the Napoleon Courtyard of the Louvre.

Bon weekend

Un petit morceau de pyramide... Voilà, en effet, une architecture bien différente de celles auxquelles tu nous as habituées, Génie!

I would say this is XXI century Paris, with a touch of always.

Beautyful contrast between the straight and squares lines, and the moon above, all in curves..A symbol of the relationships between ephemeral and ever lasting?..

Great photo. I like the incorporation of the moon. I would imagine that this modern architecture in the midst of such history would have created quite a controversy.

What a magical shot Genie! I mean, the Louvre is magical just by itself. But even more so with the perfectly round moon!

Awesome & Great photo Genie!
I've always wanted to see the Louvre in person.

You definitely photographed this from a different perspective which is pretty cool!

Are there a lot of tourists at this location?

Thank you for you considerate comments... I think that Pet first summed it up as " XXI Paris with a touch of always."
And brattcat added "man-made web."

We are in the midst of terrible weather with sketchy power and Internet - I hope that I will be back tomorrow.
