A pink "explosion" providing
quite a view from
these windows and balconies

Montmartre - avenue Junot

The springtime shades of
chartreuse and lavender
drape this courtyard entry

Probably the safest place
for the invasive wisteria

Paris au printemps

Paris in Spring

After a frigid winter
all of Paris prepares for spring
and even la tour Eiffel
dons a prissy pink crinoline

(almost spring)

une rue cachée

A charming hidden street
with vines and trees,
a slight spring-like breeze,
and an occasional glimpse of a pussy-cat.

Cimetiere Montparnasse

Montparnasse Cemetery

This cemetery is the resting place
of many of Paris' intellectuals and artistic elite.

You will find quiet paths and an easy walk as you recognize
19th and 20th century writers and artists.  I was pleased to find
the graves of Brassai (photographer)
and Bartholdi (sculptor of the Statue of Liberty)

vert et turquoise

The bright green of new spring growth
and closed aqua shutters

Do you wonder what lies beyond
the window?
