Le Consulat

Restaurant - le Consulat

This bistro is adorned in deep red and housed in a building
which has likely been in place on Butte Montmartre for nearly 400 years.

Beside the tourists of Montmartre there is much beauty,
history, and architecture to be enjoyed.
Enjoy the views and wander the back streets.

A rather official name for a restaurant Genie. Perhaps it is the owners way of making their patrons feel important.

I almost can smell garlic fried in olive oil, coming out from this window. Since the lots of tourists, I guess it's a little noisy. The flowered plant invites me to live in peace and to give my best for all. 16 generations!; wow... Thanks a lot, Genie.

Makes me wonder how the menu has changed over those years.

I've found Montmartre best the earlier in the season you can get there though I doubt I'd much like those steep climbs in the icy winter! I suspect we all have photos of Le Consulat if we go through our files!

The color combo works! Grabs the eye in a subtle way here.

Paris rouge. I wish my flowers looked as healthy.
