Rue Saint Julien le Pauvre
When you turn a corner in Paris
you never know what you will discover...
a pedestrian street,
one of the oldest churches in Paris,
a mixture of centuries of architecture,
and a quiet place for un café
4, rue Saint Julien le Pauvre
75005, Paris
Bonjour chère amie,
ReplyDeleteChacune de tes photos nous fait découvrir des petits coins ravissants. Merci pour belle promenade.
Gros bisous ♡ ☼ ♡
Oh my goodness Genie. I am very excited to see this photo. When we were in Paris last October we stayed on the third floor of the cream building to the left of the green building at the end of Rue Saint Julien le Pauvre. It was such a brilliant location. Waking to the sound of the bells of Notre Dame only a hop, skip and a jump away and right in the middle of a very vibrant district with so many eateries to choose from. I would definitely stay in this area again. Highly recommended. Thanks for bringing back such a wonderful adventure.
ReplyDeleteHello Genie,
ReplyDeleteWe love it when you take us down tiny side streets and uncover such hidden treasures. This looks to be exactly the kind of area which we should love. The houses all huddled together are so intriguing and, we suspect, so many wonderful places are accommodated within them. Perfect!
We who love Paris (and who doesn't!) appreciate those surprises and the uniqueness of the city.
ReplyDeleteNice street shot Genie.
ReplyDeleteThere had to be--what--another café?! :-)
ReplyDeleteQuite a pretty street to walk along.
ReplyDeleteAnd a cheap hotel (at least it used to be) with a killer view of Notre Dame. I love this little street—thanks for taking me here today.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful looking area.
ReplyDeleteSo true! At the end of this street on the corner of Rue Galande you will find Le Caveau des Oubliettes aka La Guillotine (a little jazz bar) that has a real revolution era guillotine. You can actually see it through the window. It's just past the church.
ReplyDeleteThis is my kind of place.
