la Seine et des parapluies

A few drops of rain do not stop Paris,
nor a deluge...
nor a snowstorm...

The wet pavement
makes for nice photographs

A lovely composition Genie. So many textures and shades to look at. I love the muted black and white tones.

Hello Genie:

We are always drawn, as we may have said before, to the black and white images. Somehow they so much remind us of the Paris we knew when we were much, much younger. This one is particularly evocative and we love the way it is angled, presumably from further up the slight incline.

Nice shot. A bit walked away from the older photo books about Paris. Well done.

Well, and the polka dotted umbrella was a GIFT. I mean, REALLY, Genie! How DO you come up with these shots? :-)

A rainy, snowy, blustery day in Paris is still a great day in Paris :). Lovely B&W!!!

Wonderfully composed, Genie, and so Parisian. The cobblestones particularly work well in black and white.

Paris from under an umbrella, how romantic..

On the other hand, those stones are very slippery (I found out the hard way)!
Great shot, Genie --

What a beautiful moment, frozen in time. The black and white is perfect for the image/subject.
