Chocolate eggs, baskets, and other delectable treats
are featured by the chocolatiers of Paris.
The boutique windows are full of candies
made in the fine traditions of the marchand de bonbons.
Although I have watched the Parisians buy these beautiful creations,
I do not believe that I have seen them sit with a bag of chocolates on a park bench.

These delights will put a smile on the faces of some lucky ones Genie.
ReplyDeleteHello Genie,
ReplyDeleteWell, the secret surely of all these waif like Parisian women is to buy....but not eat.....these delicious looking chocolate eggs. Oh, if only we had that discipline.....xxxx
Discipline, walking, a cup of black coffee when you're hungry ... More walking ... Yep, that's the way to do it. But I think I would have to taste one of these "authentic" eggs :)
ReplyDeleteVery, very tempting!
ReplyDeletePerhaps it's considered not at all "comme il faut" to munch chocolates en publique? If so, etiquette be damned—I wouldn't resist. :~}
ReplyDeleteMaybe also that this kind of chocolate often is more made for decoration than to be eaten? (It will of course be eaten ahnyhow!) :-)
ReplyDeleteMaybe their chocolates are too beautiful to eat? So, are you in Paris this Easter season?
ReplyDeleteOnce past the lips, forever on the hips is what I hear. I'll take my chances.
ReplyDeleteOh, what a happy window. Makes me smile, even with a photo! Imagine tasting it!
