Paris in spring
It is surely time for Paris to show her spring colors.
This small park on Rue de l'Ave Maria
is filled with color in March-April.
As the blooms mature and drop they will make a delicate carpet of pink .

Exquisite!
ReplyDeleteWonderful photo. I've been in Paris in Spring when the wisteria and daffodils were blooming. What a heavenly scent in the air.
ReplyDeleteBonjour ma chère Génie,
ReplyDeleteLe printemps est la période de l'année que je préfère... J'aime découvrir cette nature qui se réveille après un long sommeil...
Paris s'éveille aussi grâce à toi et tes belles photos.
Gros bisous
Hello Genie:
ReplyDeleteHow lovely! We were so struck whilst in England how lovely the countryside was looking with early blossom and the very first suggestions of spring. The first Magnolia trees were also in flower - so exciting.
If only Paris could add a small touch of blue in its sky..It would be perfect!
ReplyDeleteWow, these blossoms have certainly burst into a glorious welcome to Spring Genie. Thank you for sharing this beauty.
ReplyDeleteOh, my gosh! And our cherry blossoms here aren't even buds yet.
ReplyDeleteAhhhh ... Longing for another April in Paris ... Thank you for bringing me a little touch of it :)
ReplyDeleteSo very beautiful! How I'd love to see some of that here!
ReplyDeleteThey are beautiful indeed, Genie!
ReplyDeleteWe have to wait til May for that.
And I'm sure we'd all like to be there to see it.
ReplyDeleteSuch a beautiful flowering tree, Genie. I like most of life in Florida for the winter, but one thing that is disappointing is that we don't get the feeling of trees going from bare limbs to brilliant flowers as spring is sprung.
ReplyDeleteSome day I will make it here in spring...beutiful!
ReplyDeleteNothing like Spring colors.
ReplyDeleteC, I have seen the wisteria blooming profusely (May) and will post some photos soon.
ReplyDeletex, thank you for your comment (I like your Metro sign)
Martine, moi aussi. Spring is beautiful with its verdant green and shades of chartreuse. Merci.
Lance and Jane, how wonderful that you were able to get a preview of spring and will see it twice - once in England and then again when it arrives in Budapest.
Malyss, spring certainly has its challenges. I have seen spring in early March in Paris and have seen what appeared to be winter in late May. It is always a surprise!
Joe, I imagine that you are sampling a bit of autumn. How wonderful that we can have two glorious seasons at the same time, one in the north and the other in the south!
Rev, I think that these trees do resemble the cherry blossoms with their delicate petals.
M and Jeanie, let's go and see some of these blooms right now! Paris awaits.
William, at least you know that your July and August will be much milder.
Alexa, bien sûr!
Jack, I was on the west coast of Florida for the weekend, and it was delightful. However, the torrential rains of Monday made a mess of the airlines.
Jeanne, I do hope that you will. You just have to stay long enough to let the rains have their way and to enjoy dodging the sprinkles.
Randy, I totally agree with you!
Bises,
Genie
