Église Notre Dame de Lorette - l'orgue

Église Notre Dame de Lorette

Église Notre Dame de Lorette is a neoclassical church
built by architect Louis-Hippolyte Lebas
between 1823 and 1836 in the 9th arrondissement.

It contains the first organ built by the great organ builder
Aristide Cavaillé-Coll (1811–1899).
Composer Cesar Franck became the assistant organist here in 1947
and was married in this church as well.

For another view of the interior and an interesting story,

bon dimanche

  1. So I wonder if he and his bride, Félicité, had the organist play "The Wedding March" for their wedding. :-)
