Ma Bourgogne
No matter the season or the weather, this bistrot in the heart of Place des Vosges attracts both the locals and the tourists. I remember years ago having to choose whether to eat or to drink as we were short of cash and they did not take credit cards.
We chose the "house red."

C'est mon restaurant préféré à Paris. Merci!
ReplyDeleteLove the yellow light!
ReplyDeleteMalgré les champignons chauffants il y a peu de volontaires pour manger dehors.
ReplyDeleteNice composition with the light. Have a good 2014.
ReplyDeleteInstead of "eat, drink and be merry", it was more like "eat or drink and be merry", huh? :-)
ReplyDeleteNo matter what, house red works for me! Looks a lovely place. Happy New Years to YOU!
ReplyDeleteWhat a funny story! I think I would have chosen the wine too ;^)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful -- I love this spot!
ReplyDelete*Un picket de vin maison*, is always a good idea, Genie :-) I have not commented much this year, but visited your blog all the same. Thank you for sharing your beautiful photos of Paris. They meant a lot to this Gallic expat! Bonne année to you and yours. Veronique (French Girl in Seattle)
ReplyDeleteGood choice! A fabulous picture of the perfect Paris bistro. Happy New Year to you and your family!

ReplyDeleteExcellent choice! And you know it's one of my faves too.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful place.
ReplyDeleteI love the story of the choice - and the contrast in the photo of the cool outside and warm inside (color)!
ReplyDeleteVisited this restaurant for the first time in 2012 - now one of my favorites!
ReplyDeleteIt looks quite inviting!
ReplyDeleteWhen «Louis» lived on rue Saint-Antoine, he stopped at this gem several times. :-)
