des coeurs sous une cloche

Hearts under a cloche

Just as this bell-shaped glass was designed
to protect English garden plants from frost,
this cloche may be protecting fragile hearts.

There was an immediate appeal to this window scene
which was likely just a whim of the designer.

I do wonder though....

The hearts look a bit like they might be lockets?

Trapped hearts. An interesting thought, but when you think about it, a little sad.

I'm assuming those are lockets.

It's a beautifully composed shot!

Nice find and beautifully photographed. The reflection at the top of the glass is a nice bonus. :-)

What a gorgeous shot Genie. Window shopping on rue de Bac is fabulous. We stayed just around the corner on our last trip, and I was lucky enough to walk rue de Bac many times. It's so lovely to think how it might look now.
