The Egyptian Pyramid
Parc de Monceau was designed by Carrogis Carmontelle in the late 1700s
with a fanciful assortment of features:
a Roman colonnade, antique statues, a tatar tent,
a farmhouse, an enchanted grotto, an Egyptian pyramid, and more
It is one of my favorite parks in Paris, active with Parisians and their children.
The change of seasons is particularly remarkable in the spring.

What a gorgeous park and I love the "fanciful assortment of features"!! It would definitely be a favorite place of mine!! Such a beautiful capture with the pink, flowering tree and the pyramid! Wonderful! Hope your week is going well, Genie! Enjoy the spring!

Ce parc est effectivement fascinant... les lumières, les ombres et les couleurs en font un lieu magique.
ReplyDeleteMerci ma chère fée avec votre joli cliché.
Gros bisous
Pyramids and blossom work well in Paris, I'm taking notes for my next trip Genie, merci beaucoup.
ReplyDeleteBelle journée....

Is it possible to enter the pyramid?
ReplyDeleteHmm. Now that is an unusual feature to find in a Parisienne park. If I remember correctly a pyramid in Paris featured in one of Dan Brown's novels.
ReplyDeleteI love this composition with the adorable flowers! The pyramid is fantastic!

This was a spot I didn't get to -- I see what I missed. Lovely framing on this one!
ReplyDeleteAnother Spectacular breath of printemps!
ReplyDeleteAnd flowering trees - delightful!
ReplyDeleteThe flowering tree really makes this photo for me. I miss these in the spring, but not enough to go back up north this soon.
ReplyDeleteWhat a stunning and fascinating park! :) The pink blossoms in your photo are magnificent, Genie.
ReplyDeleteThis very bourgeois neighborhood wouldn't be my first choice for where to live in Paris (besides, I couldn't begin to afford it!)—except for that wonderful, beautiful park.
ReplyDeleteThe tree is the perfect touch.
ReplyDeleteI do not know what fascinates me more in this park... the unexpected sights such as this pyramid or the activity around the play areas and carousel.
ReplyDeleteEach season brings a new look. Pink is one of my favorite colors...
Bises,
Genie
Gosh, this brings back memories! Used to live right in front of the park.
ReplyDeleteCette année, nous avons attendu le printemps avec tant d'impatience que nous nous émerveillons de la moindre fleur.
ReplyDeleteTrès jolie photo, Genie, avec le contraste marqué entre le minéral et le végétal.
Such a beautiful blossom tree, I haven't been to Parc Monceau, it's on the list too. The list is very big....
