Tucked quietly off the main street of Rue des Francs-Bourgeois,
this large mercerie has a wonderful selection:
haberdashery, ribbons, buttons, passementerie,
threads, fabrics, felting, knitting, books, and so much more...
but, if you can see the square sign on the door...
pas de photos!
Entrée des Fournisseurs
8, rue des Francs-Bourgeois

Il est bon de pouvoir apercevoir de si belles boutiques... dans lesquelles on trouve des trésors...
ReplyDeleteBeau cliché.
Gros bisous
They make it pretty clear, don't they!! My favorite kind of shop -- with or without a camera in hand! Hope your week is off to a good start, Genie! Enjoy!

Glad you managed a shot from the outside Genie. Did you scoot away on that wonderful bike on the left after you took it?
ReplyDeleteI love this shot. And I sure do wish I had found this spot when I was in Paris!
ReplyDeletei wish i had come upon this shop.
ReplyDeleteI love this kind of shop!(and I love the idea that you took a pic "even if..")
ReplyDeleteFunny, the no photo sign. I didn't know what a mercerie was.
ReplyDeleteSpoilsports. Still, I'd probably go in for the ribbon (and sneak a pic w/my phone). Did you follow the rules, Genie?
ReplyDeleteAnd yes, you took a photo - thanks
ReplyDeleteI got fussed out in this charming place. Either didn't see the sign or they posted it after I left! ( I got a few before they caught me.)

Nice b&w shot.
ReplyDeleteCette mercerie là, je la connais aussi. Un choix énorme de boutons chics.
