Yah! Yah! Plus vite, cheval!

Playing in Jardin du Luxembourg

There is a large rectangular area in the garden where children can race pedal cars.

This joyful child is enjoying what would be my choice for a ride, a well-kept horse with a blue saddle and a red cart.  Most of the rides are cars, tractors, and other mundane vehicles.  She found the only one with a horse, and commanded the field.

  7. How futile {and silly} of me to say, "I want one of those pedal cars." But ...

This is a beautifully happy scene, Genie.

  10. That are very nice playing cars. Ideal for doing a Ben Hur.

  11. Lovely picture, she is enjoying the ride very much. Those pedals look rather old fashioned, from a past century almost.

  12. As I was a kid, there were only horses. My childhood is far behind! :o)

  13. Maybe we can race each other, Shell, because I want one too! Beautifully captured, Genie. Don't see how anyone can look at this and not smile!

  14. Proof that today's kids can still have fun with old, traditional toys. Does my heart good to see this.

  16. The squeals of laughter and chatter of children are music to my ears. This was one of the times I wished that I was taking video rather than clicks.

Malyss, this is probably one that you rode as a child. It has been well-maintained as I am sure you have as well!

Too bad that these are a bit small for us, but I would have loved one of these as a child.

    Bises,
    Genie
