Mercerie
Ultramod
Even the name "Ultramod" is enchanting and is a reminder of times past. There is nothing dull about this mercerie, a place not only to buy buttons, threads, and ribbons, but a joyful gathering of people who enjoy the needle arts and haberdashery. The colors almost tumble off the shelves in an array of tassles and silks.
The ambiance here is palatable

you've done a great job of helping us experience this. thank you.
ReplyDeleteI like the colors but it's a bit too 'frilly' for me.
ReplyDeleteOh, Genie, this one makes my heart sing!
ReplyDeleteLove this place. I could spend a small fortune in here—and I don't even sew!
ReplyDeleteThe windows of Paris are endlessly fascinating aren't they? Although I can't imagine wearing one of those hats.
ReplyDeleteGreat shot. How did you manage to keep yourself out of the reflection in the window? Bisous
ReplyDeleteWhat a special shop, thank you!
