Pétanque X - Jardin du Luxembourg

Jardin du Luxembourg

On my next trip to Paris I would like to play a game of Pétanque
but the regulars of Jardin du Luxembourg (and Tuileries)
would not likely embrace this American beginner.

Perhaps a trip to Bassin de la Villette in the 19ème
would be a better place to start.

  8. Fantastic idea! I will pitch in to rent some boules and we can spend a lovely afternoon with all the other people at the Bassin... But, do you really think that you would be able to stay in the circle as long as you were supposed to and not be tempted to step out and take photos???? Bisous!

  17. What a lovely picture. I'd love to play a game of petanque in Paris too. Are the sets supplied by the park, or do people bring their own? We have a set at home- but don't use it often enough, it is a fun game though, great for backyard barbeques.
