Le Moulin de la Vierge
About a year ago I posted about Le Mouline de la Vierge
and the great history of the boulangerie on Rue Vercingétorix in the 14ème.
This second of four shops also has the historic building classification
and is found on Rue Saint-Dominique.
Of the four photos I took from this vantage point,
there were seven other people seen coming/going through the doors,
all with baguettes!
I should have made a purchase

Bon Soir Genie. A baguette, a little fromage and a spot of vin and I would be set. Bon Vivant J.
ReplyDeleteA lovely pic, thanks for sharing. Will be keeping note of these great places to visit when I next visit Paris! Have a joyful day! Sharon
ReplyDeleteWhat would become a french people without his everyday baguette?!!That's the only thing I really miss when I'm in a foreign country..
ReplyDeleteBTW, Bonne Année!:o)
I was back in the Rue Vercingétorix area (rue Moulin de la Vierge, rue Decres...) and tried an excellent restaurant. To try next time you are in Paris!

All the best for 2013!
The shop looks so beautiful. I love those old facades.
ReplyDeleteGENIE! BONNE ANNÉE! Anita
ReplyDeleteIt's gorgeous, Genie! Love the gold on black. If their baguettes are as beautiful as their shopfront, it would be a sin to deny oneself...
ReplyDeleteI think I can smell the warm bread ... Beautiful building and your photo is so clear it seems you can look all the way inside the store! Miam-miam!
ReplyDeleteI would love to stop there for a baguette! Nice shot- I enjoy seeing the window shoppers.
ReplyDeletewow baguette! :)
ReplyDeleteI think it's time to prepare some coffee!

Oh what a great place to be; but in Paris, almost ANYWHERE is magical!
ReplyDeleteGenie, thank you for coming by !! I am on my way out NOW to deliver that dress! Anita
J'aime beaucoup !
ReplyDeleteShell is right, Genie—next time, go in and get yourself a nice baguette! (And next time I'm in Paris, I'm heading for that restaurant Peter mentioned.)
ReplyDeleteI probably would have problems checking out all the various store fronts and would have had to stop in each to buy whatever they had available from looking in their windows! Ha
ReplyDeleteBet it smells great! Love the lettering.
ReplyDeleteThis is such a classical Paris storefront. It looks great.
ReplyDeletePeter and I stopped and bought both pastries and baguettes in the boulangerie of the same name on Rue Vercingétorix. The interior was stunning as well.
ReplyDeletePeter, I will have to try that restaurant!
To all: bonne année! I am catching up with my blogging. It has been a crazy busy holiday season with many parties, friends, and lots of family... the best! I can almost see what my house looked like before it all started!
