Rue Paul Bert - la porte verte

Rue Paul Bert

Just a few steps from Bistrot Paul Bert
is this striking green doorway of great height.
It is complemented by the architectural details,
the bright red flowers in the window box,
and a reflection of the building just opposite.

It was a beautiful spot to meet a friend for déjeuner.

  3. Quand le genre humain aura disparu, la terre sera certainement colonisée par les géraniums rouges.

  6. Usually, a door is just a door .... this one is both door and window! Someone must open that window regularly in order to tend to those lovely red geraniums. Lovely capture of such a Parisian sight!

  12. It IS a large entrance. And grand in the beautiful way too. The red and green are very festive for the Christmas holiday, though i know the colors weren't meant for that.. :) Lovely photo.
