La Seine
un aire de pique-nique
Having a picnic with friends along the Seine...
what could be any better?
I am honored to be invited to join the City Daily Photo Blogs, and with my acceptance, to participate in the first day of each month with "theme day." November's theme is "The Water's Edge" and here is the link to visit other cities around the world.

This is a delightful photo of friends together in an equally delightful city!
ReplyDeleteFabulous choice for the Theme Day Genie. Waters Edge in Paris is like no other.
A bientôt.
Congratulations!
Hello Genie:
ReplyDeleteThis of course appeals to us hugely - a picnic out of season. Very recently we suggested to some friends taking a picnic to the City Park and reading poetry aloud to each other. In the event it rained, and the pages would have been soaked!!
Congratulations on joining the Daily Photo Community. I don't know that there is much better than a pic nic by the Seine. Always a Paris highlight.
ReplyDeleteI can't count the amount of bread, cheese, and wine I've consumed "au bord de la Seine" over the years. Thanks for bringing back some great memories, Genie!
ReplyDeleteLove this one, Genie! Your angles and your cropping are perfect! They serve to enhance the delightful scene.
ReplyDeleteWhat a perfect theme day shot! I want to be there instead of here in my office.
ReplyDeletewhat a nice capture.
ReplyDeletei love the symmetry.
What a lovely image! Everyone looks so happy and seem to be enjoying the day. From the looks on the young man looking up it would appear that he noticed you taking this photo. :) Or not?
ReplyDeleteThis is a very special water's edge......and a great image!

ReplyDeleteWhat an awesome Blog! I've added myself as your newest follower. I traveled to France (Aix and Paris) last fall and fell in love with all things French. I can believe it took me this long to get there. Hoping to go back soon, but in the meantime, I'll get my Paris fix through your wonderful blog! Happy Fall Ya'll from Houston, TX.
ReplyDeleteSigh...I would love to be there. Congrats Genie.
ReplyDeleteThis photo as a beautiful effect on me. I've always wanted to see Paris.. but now i REALLY want to see Paris. This picture of life there just 'does it' for me. :)
ReplyDeleteMaybe we´ll have a pique-nique along the Seine one day?
ReplyDeleteThey are making the most out of marginal weather.
ReplyDeleteThey're waiting to be first at the next Paris Plage.
ReplyDeleteOne day I'll actually walk down there and join those Parisians. It's a great photo op but I think it's an even better Paris experience.
