La vitrine de Repetto
When I arrive in Paris, Repetto is one of my first stops,
not to buy the shoes, but to gaze at their window display.
My favorites are those with ballet tutus such as here.

Yes, I would love this shop, too! My youngest daughter was a ballet dancer with a company in California during her younger days. Looks like a delightful place! Hope your week is going well, Genie!

C'est blanc, et pur. Très joli.
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see what you find at Repetto on this trip. Love the way you captured this in B&W!
ReplyDeleteGosh, Repetto is still there! I used to work at 7 Rue de la Paix....office gone now.
ReplyDeleteit will be at the top of my photo op stops .. if i ever get to Paris .. sigh
ReplyDeleteHave fun Genie! Wish I was there!
ReplyDeleteI like the old lightbulbs too. Repetto never disappoints!
ReplyDeleteI agree with V on liking the old lightbulbs. The new ones don't fit in the lamps as nicely. Heck. I'm just old I guess! I really love this display window...so pretty and so French. :)
ReplyDeleteBe safe Genie on your trip!
Walter, I wish that you and your wife were here too and we would photograph and talk about it all day.
ReplyDeleteIt was a great day in Paris with some afternoon rain. W always say a that a tiny, cold, hot day in Paris beats a great day in the US! I did get some great rain shots and my camera is still working. We talked to a guy on the street who directed us to the most delicious Religieuse chocolat ever tasted. We spent time in a section of the 15th where I have never been. Since it started raining, we took cover under an awning, took pictures of the wrapping, unwrapped and took photos, then shared bites eating the whole thing. We ate dinner tonight on a terrace while watching the rain taking photos of reflections in the streets.
We took photos of a bridal couple at Palais Royale, bothering with the official photographer. We were sad to see that our couturier friend has left but I am determined to track her down.
Bises,
Genie
