Parc de Monceau
Two friends without a care in the world.
We should be more like them.
Maman can worry about the limestone dust all over their clothes.
Weird, but I have a fondness for that chalk...
a reminder of good times in Paris.

You've captured a wonderful moment in time Genie!
ReplyDeleteSkipping merrily about - kids know how to have fun.
I adore her little blouse and the jumper wrapped casually at her neck!
This is such a wonderful image.

I do look back fondly on my childhood, but am also fully aware that things change and we all have to grow up and leave behind that childlike freedom at some stage..
ReplyDeleteHello Genie:
ReplyDeleteAh, to return to the age of innocence. What a delightful portrait and you are so right about the chalk dust, clearly visible here scuffed up along the way. The state those shoes will be in!!
I like these moments ...
ReplyDeleteTrès chouette, cette photo : le mouvement est superbement capturé
ReplyDelete(T'as vu, Genie... J'ai tout écrit en Français...)
Loves from Brittany.
So cute together and a little fashionista with her jumper around her shoulders.
ReplyDeleteReminds me of the famous picture of Eugene Smith children Juanita and Patrick in Life magazine of 1946. But yours is of course completely today with it vibrant colors and movement. Well done.
ReplyDeleteDelightful Genie.
ReplyDeleteI want to skip through Tuesday holding my best friend's hand and wake up Wednesday in Paris :)
ReplyDeleteSo wonderful to have a happy childhood. Lovely photo Genie.
ReplyDeleteI'm very much looking forward to my visit to Parc Monceau soon and hope to see the same visions as you do. Sorry our paths won't cross while there.
ReplyDeleteI miss being around small children on a regular basis now that our kids are grown and our grandson lives far away from us. Watching children live as they do without a care always makes me want to live more simply. Great capture Genie!
ReplyDeleteSuch a joyous image. It has a strong emotional impact!
ReplyDeleteOh the joy of youthful energy and excitement.. I still feel the excitement Genie, I just don't have quite as much energy haha! J'adore cette image.
ReplyDeleteSuch happy and fun filled times for them! They look so sweet running and playing without a care in the world. :)
ReplyDeleteIl y a de la joie ! C'est la sortie de l'école sans doute ?
ReplyDeleteTrès mignon Genie
à bientôt
Danielle
I would love to run and play with them!
ReplyDeleteJoie de vivre! :-)
ReplyDeleteI love how you caughter her "pig tails" flying in the air!
ReplyDeleteWouldn't you love to be a kid again?
ReplyDeleteOh those carefree days.
ReplyDeleteJack, I think that I will always be a kid, an older kid, but a kid just the same.
ReplyDeleteMerci beaucoup, 'Tsuki et Danielle pour tes remarques sur mon post.
JudyMac, you will love it and I wish that we were not going to be crossing the Atlantic in opposite directions!
M, let's go!
