Square du Vert Galant
as seen from Pont des Arts
An early evening in April we strolled to Pont des Arts, hand in hand.
So romantic, we were alone...
with about a hundred of our fellow romantics, picknickers, and flaneurs on the bridge.
We watched the sun set into Seine
and tossed our key into the water below.
Yes, the key was red.

Le grand sigh! Meanwhile, I hope you and D have battened down the hatches and are ready to ride out the storm together. Happy anniversary to you!
ReplyDeleteThis post made me soooooo happy Genie, it's so lovely and inspiring to know that there really ARE some true romantics left, sometimes I do have to wonder!
ReplyDeletep.s can't wait to see your 'capture the colour' images, I can only imagine how beautiful they'll be.
Nice b&w shot. Wish I was there.
ReplyDeleteThank you for your kind comments. We are homebound until the storm (Isaac) passes. I can hear the howling of the wind and torrents of rain. We should be fine (as long as the electricity stays on - hah!)
ReplyDeleteBises,
Genie
Went to a picnic there with a crowd of French friends several years ago.
