A hidden garden

This shot was taken through the iron gate

The glimpse of red caught my attention matched with the bright yellow pansies.
I thought that I saw a bench and some garden sculptures.
Too bad it was locked.

bon weekend

  8. Perhaps it's a private one? I've already found myself photographing in private property without knowing it... :)
    God bless you!

  10. I found your blog today and love it so much I started following. I want to come to Paris some day it is a dream of mine. It is great to see other parts of the world an how others live. I live on a farm/ranch in Oklahoma and love to dream of other places. Great Blog!

  12. A respite from the city hustle and bustle. Peut-être the deux fashionistas live there?

  15. I'm dreaming about what it would be like to live on pretty, tree-lined Ave. Junot—and to have this garden besides (le grand sigh). No wonder your eyes (and camera) were drawn in—it's lovely! Bon weekend, Genie --

  17. Isn't it fun sneaking peeks into hidden yards of fine houses? I do it whenever I can get away with it.

  18. Genie thank you for dropping by and so glad we have met - definitely following your wonderful taste of Paris - love the colour and clarity of your photos. The beach reflections were in Bali - just glorious and so tranquil. Have a great week. Francesca

  19. You are a kindred spirit. I'm always poking my camera lens through iron fences to capture the serenity and magic of gated French gardens.

    Bonne semaine.

  21. I operate on the ask forgiveness rather than "ask permission" basis. I was told one time in Madrid (rather abruptly) to leave a courtyard. There was not even a gate so I did not sneak in (not that I am above that). I really should not write this as my mom and dad read the blog from time to time.

I love gardens and courtyards and wish that mine had the age and character of this one. It is difficult to fake it.

    Bises,
    Genie

  22. Now you know the next time you are in Paris you will have to go back, it has you intrigued! How funny, I put my lens through a gate this very day to try and capture a secret garden also. We think alike Genie oui!

  23. This particular gate is unfortunately always closed. You must learn to know some of the (in France quite famous) persons who have the previlege to live here! ... but photos through the gate are fortunately possible! :-)
