This is a beautiful Cathedral, Genie...is it the one near Parc Monceau? I remember getting a scolding from the Priest for crossing my legs while taking a little rest on a chair! I'm glad you got away with a photo ;) Bon weekend, Bises, - Irina
Oh it looks beautiful from the inside and out Genie, I love that you managed to get this shot from the inside, I can just imagine you whipping your camera out and...snap!! Happy Sunday.
Irina, you are right about the location. It is easy to find with a map but it is not one that you can see from the main street.
This was a "legal" photo. They do not allow photos inside the cathedral but this one was taken facing out and not into the cathedral.
Bibi, I think that the funeral for your friend would have been quite memorable in this cathedral.
Debs, as you know I like window shots as well. Just keep clicking and you will master them. With a window shot you may be surprised at the interesting reflections.
revrunner, it is nice to see you here. Thank you for visiting and for your comment.
I am wishing for more hours than the usual allotment this week and I wish for all of you a wonderful week ahead!

Years ago I attended the funeral of a Russian friend here...a beautiful church.
ReplyDeleteThey don't make windows like this anymore.
ReplyDeleteProbably my favorite place in Paris!
ReplyDeleteA window with fa dream view, very charming buildings.

A lovely opening to the world.
ReplyDeleteEnjoyed the link, too, and the loveliness of the Russian architecture. You framed this photo beautifully.
ReplyDeleteThis view might be the very best side. Hope you are having a wonderful weekend Genie.

Well done for getting a photo from inside :)
ReplyDeleteGreat framing of the shot too. I love window shots (but am rather bad at them)
J'aime cette vue sur la vie de la rue... Une photo pleine de charme.
ReplyDeleteGros bisous à vous et bon dimanche.
Not often you find clear windows in the churches. Lovely view!

Simply beautiful Genie!
ReplyDeleteInteresting that it has clear windows...I would have expected some frosted glass at least.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely stunning. Just as much so from the inside as from the outside. Wonderful picture. And a good Sunday to you also, Genie. :)
ReplyDeleteSuch beautiful design.
ReplyDeleteLovely window, lovely view. Indeed, a nice space in which to find oneself.
