I have seen this sign only once or twice in Paris, but love the sense of humor.
No left turn!
or... does it say, "Don't bend the Eiffel Tower!"
This is one of many designs of Clet Abraham,
who places his artistic, non-destructive stickers on signs around Europe.
(Thanks, Rob and Mandy for the information)

Wonder if it is by the same artist who made the ones in Livorno, on VP and Trillian's Livorno Daily Photo blog?
ReplyDeleteHow cute! Must get back to see for myself, though:-))
ReplyDeleteHA HA, I love this...a bent Eiffel Tower used this way is very, very clever.
ReplyDeleteBoth? heee...
ReplyDeleteThank you so much, chere Genie for coming by!
What beautiful words...and you work with glass?
I would love to see some of your pieces...
Have a beautiful day, dear friend!

I love it!
ReplyDeleteThe French crack me up. Nice catch, Genie!
ReplyDeleteNow that is truly fabulous! love love love it. :D
ReplyDeleteVery unique and truly ONLY IN PARIS would one find this.
ReplyDeleteThat is really good, I also wondered if it was done by the artist VP showed from Livorno. It is similar art with the same droll humor.
ReplyDeleteRob and Jack, thank you! I have now researched and linked to the post by VP, along with updating this post. The artist is Clet Abraham and he uses non-damaging "stickers" on existing signs. Very cool!
ReplyDeleteIrina, send me an email, mon amie, svp.
Now, I am going to have to start looking for these. This one was not seen in google-maps.
Bises,
Genie
Hee! I love it. :)
ReplyDeleteI´ve seen a "don´t bend the Eiffel Tower" sign on Rue de Turbigo last November. And more signs in Rome. I didn´t know the name of the artist, thank you for sharing it.
