Although Chula was limited by the "no dog" signs in Paris, she was free to go everywhere in Provence. She loves the lavender fields, seen here with Mont Ventoux in the background, and the plentiful sunflower fields. She was a regular in the bistros and markets and friendly with the brocante vendors. Truly, exploring the village and making new friends was much to her liking.
See the original post here with her Paris story.
Today is the last day to comment before the drawing this evening.
The winner will be announced tomorrow.

Oh, I love Chula! What a beautiful doggie lady she is!! And what a lovely place! Love the fields of lavender! I spent a wonderful day in one of the lavender farms here in Washington last spring! Loved it! Hope to go back! Have a great week, Genie!

This has just made my day. We've always had collies and this might be the most striking picture I've eve seen. Of course my love of Provence has something to do with it in addition to the fact I'm drawn to collies. I can't wait to show my husband.
ReplyDeleteBTW, her ears are perfect. I'm off to follow her Paris story now.

i love everything about this image!!!!
ReplyDeleteI realise it's not your picture Genie, but it's fantastic. I'd loved to be gamboling about through the lavender with Chula.
ReplyDeleteRunning through lavender fields sounds like a delightful thing to do I spring! Hmmmmm --- I can smell the aroma!
ReplyDeleteA beautiful chestnut-colored dog in a field of lavenver - it's a Chula vista!
ReplyDeleteSuch a cute picture, she is really happy walking in the lavender fields.
ReplyDeleteI had a collie as a kid and one later on. Beautiful dogs. My friend just bought a lavender-scented flea collar for her dog...even if it doesn't work, it smells good.
ReplyDeleteIt is difficult to tell from this photo without any perspective except the lavender, but Chula is a Sheltie and loves her petite size.
ReplyDeleteI would love to be in the lavender, but as Holly discovered on her first trip in the lavender fields, there often are bees... many of them.
Ahh...Chula I have just turned green with envy!
ReplyDeleteI don't know why but this image makes me feel a bit melancholy...perhaps because it brings to mind my dog that passed (3) years ago. I still become a bit overwhelmed with sadness when I see photos of dogs that are free spirited...which reminds me of my dog.
ReplyDeleteWe once had a huge planting area that ran the length of the back of our house and I planted lots of lavender because it was so sunny and hot and it thrived there. It was beautiful and I would cut and dry some of it and always had to deal with bees buzzing everywhere. Just like peonies draw ants, lavender draws bees! I had both! LOL
Are you sure that's not Lassie???
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful dog Chula is. I remember these dogs from long ago and call them all Lassie. Beautiful in the lavender fields and the mont Ventous in the background. My kind of view. :)))))
ReplyDeleteHa, what a pretty picture! Chula seems so beautyful and happy among lavender!(and the pic is so unusual in your blog! :o)
ReplyDeleteI think Chula is saying "Oh Happy Day!" Looks like she is enjoying this outing a lot.
ReplyDeleteShe looks like a very happy pup! (I'd be happy too, in that beautiful spot.)
ReplyDeleteThat is such a sweet photo.
ReplyDeleteElle semble si heureuse dans ce cadre... Je le suis tout autant lorsque je me trouve dans la région...
ReplyDeleteGros bisous
On this first official day of Spring the landscapes of Provence still have a very wintery look.
ReplyDeleteI look at your photo and I dream....
We had a dog that looked exctly like this one. Ginger, grew up with our girls and lived to be around 15 years old. The Picture is absolutley beautiful. As are all of your photos. Lv them.
