Love this style, the cross over effect at the waist is so flattering, only wish I had a ball to go to! The geometric pattern in the background is also very eye catching! Sometime before too long I think it would be fantastic to have a Christmas in Paris, what do you think Genie..will you meet me atop La Tour Eiffel one Christmas in the future?? Hope you have a great weekend.
Ooh la la, I would love one of these! Now all I need is some wonderful place to wear it! Very curious to know what color(s) they were but the photo is lovely in B&W as it brings out all the patterns and depth.
Thanks, Genie, but I already have my ballgown for this weekend. This is a terrific window display, isn't it, with the elegant couture gowns in front of the geometric patterns reminiscent of Victor Vasarely.
Je ne dirais pas non, après tout... Il est souvent dommage de se rendre compte que malheureusement plus beaucoup de gens portent de la belle toilette pour sortir... J'aimais aller au théâtre et porter une belle robe... gros bisous
Maybe 30 or 40 years ago I could have pulled this off—oh, actually, probably not even then. :~} I'm playing catch-up, so I want to say that I loved your petite Parisienne blonde, and totally agree w/you about the Galeries Lafayette tree (though I do appreciate that you showed it to us, of course). Bon weekend, ma chère!
Many thanks for your comments today. This boutique is recently opened on Rue St Roch and the windows will be a welcome addition on the short block between Rue de Rivoli and Rue St Honoré. Now, if I could only catch the chic little hat shop across the street when it is open...
Ah, don't I wish! They are beautiful, Genie! Hope you have a great weekend!

ReplyDeleteDream, dream, dream....
ReplyDeleteThink I would have to shave my head and paint myself silver to get away with it.
ReplyDeleteHow I wish I could wear something like that! They're stunning. Even if they are from Barcelona.

Hey there!!
ReplyDeleteLove your blog ;) I travel so much and yet I have not been able to go and visit Paris... Hopefully your blog will fill that void in my heart...
I don't need a ball gown for any upcoming events but I would still get one just to have ;)
