A little break from the streets of Paris brought us here to Dalloyau, a renown pâtisserie, on Boulevard Beaumarchais. I previously showed you the Bubble Pêche featured in the window that morning. The inside of Dalloyau is just as much a treat as the macarons (and l'Opéra) we devoured with our noisette and café crème. We were on a mission. The pâtisserie hunt continues...

I have never set a foot inside Dalloyau, believe it or not, Genie. It is très rouge inside, isn't it? ;-) Macarons, Opéra, Noisette and café crême: You do know how to lead a good life in Paris, don't you? Veronique (French Girl in Seattle)
ReplyDeleteYou do not get lost yourself in Paris eh? :-)
ReplyDeleteWonderful picture and story.
ReplyDeleteSuddenly, I'm hungry. You shouldn't do that to me. Yes, some Macaroons would be lovely right about now. Especially honey-flavoured macaroons, fit for a Bear.
Happy weekend.
You DO know where to go and have a grand time. Boulevard Beaucmarchais is always on my list when I go to Paris for reasons of supplies which Belgian 'musicians' are always asking me to bring back. I am proud to say that I have always resisted the temptations of going in this patisserie. Your picture will probably have an adverse effect, next trip. Bon weekend!I
ReplyDeleteOooh, I want to go here! I definitely love these colors and the style! Such a nice place! Have a lovely weekend, Genie, and thanks for your always nice comments!
ReplyDeleteLove, KRistin
Love the decor...... the food sounds wonderful too!
ReplyDeleteBon weekend Genie,
Ruby
I shouldn't read your blog when I'm hungry Genie!
ReplyDeleteIt looks very elegant here Genie, what a wonderful type of hunt to be on, there would just be so many contenders in Paris oui! It's a good thing there is much walking involved too. Hope you are having a great weekend.
ReplyDeletewhat a great atmosphere.
ReplyDeleteI thnk it looks fit for a glass of champagne! :)
ReplyDeleteV
Right up my alley! Sorry I missed this on my last trip, but it will go in my file for next time.
ReplyDeletePastries and champagne (from your previous post)...how delightful! I haven't had breakfast yet, and already you're teasing my tastebuds!
ReplyDeleteA nice corner to take a coffee?
ReplyDeleteNice place
Definitely a noble mission and one well worth pursuing. I admire your stamina.
ReplyDeleteHave you been able to make a 'short list' of your favorite patisseries yet? I didn't make a trip to France this year which makes the longing to be there even more acute.
ReplyDeleteWe were just up the boulevard but never entered.
ReplyDeleteWell, mission accomplished, I'm sure! Makes me want to park my little derrière in one of those pretty pink chairs and have a macaron (or two).
ReplyDeleteThere is nothing quite like a "mission" and a goal! To hunt down pâtisseries for scientific purposes seems so worthwhile. Daughter Holly and I started on this some years back and I have now drafted Marie to help continue the research!
ReplyDeleteHarriet, I do have a short list which I will send to you.
lou, this particular day was a real test as we hit many in the Marais.
anni, the music store is quite close to Dalloyau, a place to rest your feet after shopping
The day we were here, it was just the two of us seated although there was a steady stream of customers at the counter. It was quiet and would have been plenty of room for us all!
Bises,
Genie
Love the red. It looks like a chic place.
ReplyDeleteI´ve only passed by Dalloyau on Boulevard Beaumarchais and enjoyed the sweets in the windows. Now I see what I´ve missed by not entering! I love all this pink!!!
ReplyDeleteLove the red chairs!
ReplyDeleteHello Genie,
ReplyDeleteThis looks to be a wonderful patisserie. What a delightful place to sit and enjoy a cafe creme along with some sinful treat!
Have a great week!
Looks like a great place! I want to be there now! First thing I do is try to capture the reflection of painted waiter on the table. Then bring on the Pâtisseries!
ReplyDeleteOooh, it looks so fabulous- and that's without even the merest glimpse of a pastry! I've never managed to make it to Dalloyau (yet). Next time in Paris, I must make it a priority.
ReplyDelete..hunt continues." Why? Looks like you have a winner here--
ReplyDeleteLove your blog, the spirit, the originality, the great pictures !!
ReplyDeleteHave you tried in your patisserie hunt "Les Merveilleux " ?
Just simply divine !
Fidji from www.irresisitbleparis.blogspot.com
Fidji, I have not, but just spent 30 minutes reading all about it. I have not been a fan of the dried meringues in Paris, but David L's description paired with Rosa's just put this "on the list."
ReplyDelete(How do I "follow" your blog?) Many thanks!
Bises,
Genie
